North Queensland primary school, Holy Cross, has recently installed a Trex® Deck with recycled plastic kick rails from Replas. The installation was complete by Replas Pro WIP Construction using a composite fibre structure. Recycled plastic and Trex® material is the perfect fit for the northern Queensland environment as the material will not split, rot or crack and will not be eaten by the locals, termites. Recycled plastic kick rails are ‘profiles’, a range from Replas that varies in sizes and colours, allowing any installation to have and use exactly what they need. Trex® is built upon green principles and values, the decking is made from 95% recycled materials and reclaimed wood from woodworking operations, used pallets and/or sawdust. Trex® is the first company in the wood alternative decking industry to receive an International Code Council Evaluation Service® (ICC-ES)* SAVE Verification for Recycled Content. The joined products of Trex® and recycled plastic products from Replas will give Holy Cross Primary School an outstanding, literally, deck that will last the school many years.
